Empowering students to realize their true potential

United Tutoring was created to provide low-income immigrant students in Ditmas Park access to free tutoring. Low-income immigrant families usually do not have access to resources that allow them to provide their students with extra tutoring and academic supports to do well in school. Consequently, students are left to shoulder the burden of navigating the American education system alone and without the proper help, it’s difficult to create a plan for extended academic pursuits beyond high school.  

We founded United Tutoring in the hopes of filling that gap. Our mission is to help student academically, spark a passion for learning, and to provide a support system of tutors and peers.

All our tutors are from low-income immigrant families and can relate to the personal and academic experiences of our students. We’re familiar with the schools, the teachers, and are well-versed in the numerous resources and education programs available in the area. Above all, we aim to help students succeed academically and prepare them for the future.

Classes are held on weekends and are broken into two sessions per day to maximize the number of courses that can be taught in a day.
